-- Doc11, "The GNU Free document license".

The GNU Free document license (GFDL) is available at http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/fdl.html and is contained here in as per the license requirements. GFDL is an idea of the Free Software Foundation
http://www.fsfeurope.org/
http://www.gnu.org/fsf/fsf.html

All documents that are not already covered by an authors separate copyright at their wish will be automatically covered by the GFDL as per leading websites such as http://www.wikipedia.org/.

This includes most of the documents on this website and nearly all of the original. The idea being that we as a group and outside contributors know that UKCERT is a genuine community resource and not ".org" front for commercial gain. UKCERT is free from vendor pressures and organisational politics and as an independent body concerned with UK information security issues chooses the GFDL to protect its communities IP.

The GFDL in XML format is here at this link.
